“Crazy” Leo Urlichich of Thornhill, Ontario and co-driver Martin Brady beat a record breaking number of entries at the 2011 Rally of the Tall Pinesto score their first win at a Canadian Rally Championship event in their Subaru Impreza STI.

Competition was extremely strong, with main rivals Pat Richard (Subaru), Antoine L'Estage (Mitsubishi) and 2011 Rally America champions David Higgins (Subaru).

L'Estage won the first four stages, taking control of the event, until disaster struck at the end of SS5. The transmission in their car shattered with large pieces of the casing falling off.

Pat Richard took over the lead, but he suffered a puncture and then the transmission failed, foircing his to retire from the event.

Third place went to Bruno Carre of Laval, Quebec and Yvan Joyal in a Subaru Impreza..
