After enduring a routine season – visiting the same tracks endlessly, Canadian Touring Car Championship participants were relieved to see their 2012 schedule.

Once more, they will be visiting ICAR and Mosport. But unlike last year, CTCC organizers added a bit of variety around the two most visited venues.

Taking the popular GP3R off the calendar would have been hard, that’s why it will be back once more. Same goes for the NAPA 200 weekend.

On top of that, racers will get a second yearly trip to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, to race up close to F1 stars, at the Canadian Grand Prix. Also new for 2012, is a visit to Mont-Tremblant.

Speaking of scenic tracks, Calabogie Motorsports Park will make a return to the CTCC calendar, for the first time since 2009.
