Of course, BMW purists tend to point to the original M3 when the subject is the E30 generation of the 3 Series, but as Car and Driver points out, that version came out of the brand’s racing program, unlike the 325i. It was the most powerful version available in the second half of the 1980s.

The fourth generation of the Civic was a model coming into its own. More modern in every way, it could be bought in a multitude of different formats. As for the CRX, the small two-seat coupe is still a hot item among Honda fans today.
