A study conducted by Aviva Canada shows that the number of insurance claims skyrockets during the winter season, nearly doubling.
Aviva Canada’s annual statistics reveal a 49% spike in auto-collision claims between December and February compared to the rest of the year.
The first snowfall is apparently particularly trying for all Canadian motorists.
According to Aviva Canada’s data, Alberta sees the highest increase in winter auto insurance claims compared to all other provinces, while residents of Newfoundland and Labrador seem to have the least trouble adapting to winter conditions.
