Mazda MX-5 RF
Mazda is a carmaker that never seems content to do things as others do them. It has long been adept at developing cutting-edge technologies that allow for combining performance with greater fuel efficiency, without neglecting the driving experience. The MX-5 was fully redesigned in 2015 and was greeted with widespread acclaim and numerous awards, a reflection of its excellent evolution. It was widely expected that the company would develop a more powerful, Mazdaspeed-inspired version, but the company left that to Fiat with its 124 Abarth, a car that borrowed the platform, the chassis as well as a good part of the body of the Mazda, but with a Fiat Abarth engine. For its part, Mazda showed itself yet again to be clever and innovative by fitting the MX-5 with a Targa-type folding roof that gives the car a unique cachet. Those drivers who have ordered theirs will be turning heads next summer.
