Chrysler is having a good couple of years in terms of product launches, sales growth and industry leadership in several areas- and they're thanking Ontarians for their help.
Marking 25 years of minivan production and the best April sales volume in over 5 years, the automaker recently had retailers gather in Windsor, Ontario to drive 700 minivans away to dealerships, saving owners a $1,350 freight charge. An additional 900 vehicles were shipped off on trucks, and will also qualify for the special savings. This event hasn't taken place in over 15 years.
The event comes hot on the heels of a recently-introduced 'Thank You Canada' campaign, which is offering the best prices of the year to shoppers. It gives the company 13 different vehicles for under $20,000- including the Grand Caravan.
"Chrysler minivans have been an integral part of life for Canadians. Functionality, flexibility, value, industry firsts and excellent fuel economy have been the recipe for success for Chrysler minivans. We also anticipate further growth for Chrysler in this segment moving forward" said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Chrysler Canada. "Windsor has had a long history with Chrysler Canada's best selling vehicle and are very proud of the product that is produced by the men and women in this manufacturing facility".
