Jaguar Canada has released a more complete pricing list for the 2002 X-Type all-wheel-drive sports sedan that will go on sale across the country this summer.
The Brampton-based company already announced that the X-Type with the 2.5-litre V6 would be $42,950, and now they say the 3.0-litre model will carry an MSRP of $49,950.
The 2.5-litre model gets a significant list of standard equipment that includes (but does not stop at) the 194-horsepower 2.5-liter V6 with 5-speed manual transmission, Connolly leather-trimmed seating, bird's-eye walnut trim, power windows, mirrors, locks and driver's seat, automatic climate control, lighted vanity mirrors, 16-inch alloy wheels, and the famous Jaguar leaper, which is spring-loaded for safety.
A 5-speed automatic transmission is available for an additional $1,490 on the 2.5-litre version.
Other major option prices for the 2.5-litre model would include a glass sunroof at $1,550, a premium sound system with CD changer at $1,650, HID headlamps with dynamic levelling for $1,150, metallic paint at $795, and a power passenger seat for $700.
The extra $7000 sticker cost on the 3.0-litre model goes mostly for that extra jump from the 231-horsepower engine, but also includes the 5-speed automatic shifter that has a J-gate for normal or sport mode shift, an 8-way power passenger seat, and more upscale 16-inch alloy wheels.
There are three option packages available on both models the X1 Power and Convenience package for $2,000, the Winter Pack for $1,000, and the Sport Pack for $2,000.
