THE PRIZE
This true-to-scale Formula One-style steering wheel is actually an LCD alarm clock with date and timer (central display panel) and additional features such as a temperature and humidity gauge (upper display panel). The steering wheel, measuring 29 cm (11.5 inches) in diameter, is made of ABS plastic with a textured, dip-printed carbon fibre appearance and the rim covered with real back-skin leather. It is mounted on an aluminum stand with a hub that is self-centring. A spring-loaded paddle shift assembly is fitted to the back of the steering panel to replicate the true feel of gear changing. The steering wheel clock is powered by 2 AA batteries (not included). All the multi-function buttons serve a purpose: to illuminate the LCD clock, set the timer, set the alarm, set the date or switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit (and vice versa). Besides being a decorative timepiece for the desk or dresser, race enthusiasts will also enjoy setting and adjusting the features available on this Formula One steering wheel clock, giving them a feel of being behind the steering wheel of a race car.
