OK, what's the deal? A Buick in a list of super cars? Well, I'll admit that this car is not exactly exotic car material but it sure as heck is a Super-Buick! Get a load of these specs: 255 hp from a turbocharged 2.0L 4-pot, available 6-speed gearbox, AWD and all of this confined within a fairly compact body. What does this all mean? The Regal GS could be the most exciting set of wheels from Buick since the Grand National!
6-Saleen S7:
If this car is not that familiar to you, think back to Jim Carrey's Bruce Almighty. Remember the really wide silver car he drives at one point? In fact, that S7 was a regular 550 hp version, really no fun... The one on display at the show was the incredibly powerful 750 hp / 700 lb-ft of torque twin-turbo version. With a 0-100 km/h sprint in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of nearly 250 mph (400 km/h), this might be the fastest car on the show floor.
7- Mercedes Benz SLS AMG:
Good Lord this car is insane! Just stop and stare at the shape of the German beast, from the front with the doors opens. Have you ever seen anything so epic in recent car history? Sporting the now familiar 6.2L V8, this thing sounds and moves as good as it looks. Over 560 hp run through the SpeedShift 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox on the way to making the rear wheels push the car to 197 mph (315 km/h). You know, I love stats but just look at those doors!
