8- Morgan Aero 8:
This car is a bit of an odd-duck in this crowd of modern cars. Don't get me wrong, this British car sports plenty of high-tech gear including a BMW V8 and some top-notch engineering in the chassis and braking departments. It's the design of the Aero 8 that harks back to cars they created in the 50s (company was founded in 1909) that makes it stand out. Any way you slice it, this car is very quick, exclusive and expensive. I'd say that makes it pretty super.
9- Lotus Exige:
So lightweight, so compact and so business, the Exige is the die-in-the-wool version of the Elise. For $65,000 US, I cannot think of another one that will deliver as much thrills and look this exotic. In fact, no other will have you both travelling at 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and delivering 26 mpg (9L/100km). And, if the “standard” Exige is not hardcore enough for you, Lotus has a catalogue of accessories that will transform your road car into one of the ultimate track cars.
10- Mustang GT coupe:
Once again, I may be guilty of stretching the rules... Fine, a Mustang isn't really a supercar but when Ford brings back the 5.0 and it develops 412 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, tire smoke is inevitable! My breath gets taken away every time I stare at the intake runners on this V8; All I want to do is PUNCH IT! Also, the 2011 gets minor physical tweaks that make it look more contemporary. Let's not forget that the GT finally gets a 6-speed gearbox and... son of a gun do I want to do a burn out!!
