Jamie Green (C Class Mercedes) clinched victory at the Norisring for the third year in-a-row. Canadian driver Bruno Spengler (C Class Mercedes) took 3rd position and still leads provisional classification.
Already winner at the Norisring in 2008 and 2009, Jamie Green was again successful today on his favorite circuit, and moves up to second place at provisional classification. The Brit took win ahead of Mattias Ekström (Audi A4), who moves up to 3rd in the championship standings.
Canadian driver Bruno Spengler (C Class Mercedes) clinched last podium position, and now leads with ten points ahead of Green, and 11 ahead of Ekström. Spengler took his fourth consecutive podium finish in four races so far in the season.
It was a bad week-end for Paul Di Resta and Gary Paffett, who respectively stood 2nd and 3rd in championship before Norisring. Di Resta took only 9th position after a spin in the first lap, and Paffett could not take better than 6. The now stands 5th and 4th in provisional standings.
Ralf Schumacher (C Class Mercedes) started from pole position for the first time in his DTM career. After he led the early laps, the german driver finally finished the race at P9, just outside points zone.
