DTM organizers would consider a link-up with GT regulations in a near future: ITR are thinking about changing their technical regulation in order to ease the arrival of a new constructor beside Audi and Mercedes.
BMW has already said that it will not consider building a car especially for the DTM series, but would be interested in running its M3 car in the championship, if regulation allows it in the future. The BMW M3 cars raced in ALMS in the past seasons.
Meanwhile, Autosport magazine revealed that ITR members went to Japan to discuss the possibility to race Super GT and DTM cars in the same competition.
