GP2 race-winner Ernesto Viso is to join Minardi Team USA for a two-day Champ Car test at Sebring. He will be joined by Asia Pacific F3 champion Dillon Battistini.
Viso will be looking to impress as he evaluates his options for 2008, a drive in the States being one possible option for the 22-year-old Venezuelan. He comes into the test on the back of two seasons of GP2 racing, and some F1 testing with the Spyker team.
"I'm very excited at the prospect of this test and am looking forward to working with everyone at Minardi Team USA," he said. "I am sure it will be a very productive test and we can then evaluate our options for next year. I think it would be a positive move for me and my career to be in Champ Car in 2008, and hopefully that will happen."
