Chevrolet's brand identity, has said it will launch a suit against Visionary if it plans to sell the Chery name in North America, as it is too similar to Chevy (see automotive news section for May 7, 2005: GM Sends Cease and Desist Message to Bricklin's Chinese Upstart Chery), a shortened version of Chevrolet that has now become the official nameplate for the bowtie brand's truck division.

One thing's for sure, Malcolm Bricklin has certainly brought a great deal of colour to the automotive industry. Whether he achieves his "blue sky" dream or ends up with another Yugo, will remain to be seen.
