A special edition 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 will be up for bid on September 22nd at the 2012 Get Your Heart Racing Charity Auction.
Ford designer and former Henry Ford patient Melvin Betancourt was once again tasked with customizing the iconic muscle car. Feeling like he owes the hospital that saved his life, Betancourt surpassed himself by creating this one-of-a-kind Shelby GT500.
In celebration of the car's 45th anniversary, the designer wanted to evoke the original while maintaining a striking modern look and making no compromise with regard to performance. The special edition certainly won't go unnoticed with its bright white exterior paint scheme, contrasting white graphics, and 20” white alloy wheels.
Inside, there's leather aplenty in the form of white Recaro seats stitched with a black contrast thread for an overall design theme that is worthy of this car’s outstanding heritage.
People who attend the auction will also get to enter a draw for a 2012 Ford Focus in metallic black with asymmetrical white strips, 20'' wheels, and a black interior with white stitching.
