The HRT Spaniard Formula 1 team will miss next week's winter test at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, Spain.
HRT and driver Pedro de la Rosa tested at Jerez last week, running last year's Cosworth-powered F111.
But the team revealed earlier this week the new F112 chassis has failed two mandatory FIA crash tests, meaning that the team needed to redesign and/or strengthen some parts.
In line with new regulations for the current season, new chassis must pass all of the crash tests before being allowed to take part in testing.
HRT has therefore decided it will not be testing at Barcelona next week with last year's car either in order to concentrate on getting the new car ready for the last winter test, to be held March 1-4 in Barcelona.
