Mixed emotions on the Formula 1 podium in Turkey Sunday as McLaren took a first one-two this season ahead of Mark Webber, who had led the race until a collision with teammate Sebastian Vettel, forcing the German to retire on lap 39.

The incident happened while the drivers were running one-two. What appeared to be a mistake of Webber became an open door for Vettel who tried to take the corner ahead of his teammate for the lead.

Both drivers refusing to flinch, the subsequent collision sent Vettel off track and out of the race while Webber had to go back to the pits and change his front wing, costing him two positions that the McLaren then inherited.

Team boss Christian Horner was angry at both of his drivers. "What we always ask is that they give each other room," he said. "Today, neither yielded."

There was also miscontent on the McLaren side however after Jenson Button and Hamilton tussled for the lead after being told to save fuel and tyres.

The direct result of this Turkish drama is a much smaller advantage for Webber at the lead of the championship - only five points leaving Istanbul. The two McLaren drivers closed by as Vettel dropped 15 points ahead of his Red Bull teammate.

Michael Schumacher and teammate Nico Rosberg took fourth and fifth place with Robert Kubica inviting himself between the Mercedes and the Ferraris of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso who completed the top-eight.
