The Formula 3 Euroseries championship, once extremely popular will introduce several sporting and technical changes next season.
The grid of the F3 Euroseries championship had about 30 cars when the series started in 2003. Unfortunately, this number decreased to about 15 this season.
So for next season, the F3 Euro schedule will include ten meetings, but the race format will move from two to three rounds per meeting next season.
In addition to the DTM circuits, the F3 Euroseries will also visit other tracks such like Spa and Le Castellet.
Engine development will be frozen, in order to allow new engine manufacturers to join Mercedes and Volkswagen. Japanese tire supplier Kumho will propose a brand new tire in 2011 in order to help new teams who would enter the series.
The number of cars a team can enter will not be limited to two, and the number of mechanic per car will now be limited to four.
F3 Euroseries’ best drivers will be rewarded with a test in a DTM car and WSR 3.5 single seater, and could also have the opportunity to test F1 simulators (rumoured to be Mercedes GP and Red Bull).
