So, our conscienscious guy that had decided to invest in anti-pollution system had actually bought a fake. It was simply a piece of metal that looked like the real thing but was totally worthless. That's when I learned that there is a whole market of fake converters built in Québec and that a lot of people buy thinking that they are getting themselves a good deal when comparing the price with the original converter.
So if there is one advice that I can give to all of you, for the sake of your safety and the well being of the environment, it would be to always make sure that what you buy is the real thing. If the price sounds too good to be true, it probably is;and do business with someone you know and trust or that is recognized as being managed professionnally. It's a matter of life and the life of the planet...
