The world’s first Ferrari theme park, and largest attraction of its kind in the Middle East opened its doors on November 4th in Abu Dhabi. The anticipated theme park welcomed its first visitors as part of an inaugural period, which will continue throughout the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and culminate with the Grand Opening ceremony on November 30th of 2010.

Spread over 200,000 SQM at Yas Island, the Park offers more than 20 Ferrari-inspired rides and attractions, six Italian restaurants, and two stores to shop everything that is Ferrari.

Activities for the whole family
In one day of visiting Ferrari world, visitors will be able to walk through a Maranello factory replica, watch and listen to the Ferrari racing history, see the mythic Italian cars and top collectors dating from 1947 to today, watch a movie about Enzo Ferrari's love of 'The Race', go behind the scenes of a Grand Prix, test their strategic racing skills and even ride shotgun with a driving legend in a simulation.

Fun just for kids

Sometimes, amusement parks have the most exciting rides being reserved for grown ups. Ferrari World just changed the game by giving kids access to a driving school to perfect their driving skills, then participating to the Junior Grand Prix in a scaled down F1. Sounds fun, right? Well it's not it! Kids can also enjoy a 4D driving simulation, a carousel made of future Ferrari's and even drive their parents on a road trip in Italy.

Thrills for the grown-ups
Ferrari World also has the world's fastest roller coaster, named Formula Rossa that can go up to 240 km/h and blast the people riding it with 4.2 Gs. If that is not enough thrills, the G-Force is another option that will make you feel the acceleration force of an F1, by launching its occupants 62 metres in the sky. Adults can also enter into a Ferrari V12 engine from the pistons to the exhaust pipe, try a state of the art race simulator used by F1 drivers and finally race F430 Spider roller coasters in a drag race.

The ticket cost to go at Ferrari World for general admission is CDN$ 44,99 for kids and CDN$ 61.35 for adults. Premium admission tickets giving access to wait less and to have access to a VIP lounge are sold CDN$ 73.61 for kids and CDN$ 102.24 for adults. Naturally, this cost does not include shopping and food expenses.

Walt Disney World, you have competition and it's coming fast!
