The Allard J2X MkII is delivered 'fully-loaded', with the only options being the choice of engine, a full-width windshield and a canvas top. Current power options include the 5.7-litre fuel-injected GM RamJet, and the 5.7-litre and 6.1-litre Chrysler Hemi engines. Power ranges from 360 hp to 600 hp. The dry weight of the MkII is 1161 kilos. Vehicle #001 was delivered to its new owner with a specially built 6.1 litre Hemi, developing 600 hp.
This roadster is built in Montreal, Quebec, to order only with a 14 to 18 week build schedule. Britain's Allard Registry provides each vehicle with a special serial number and is listed in the Registry. AMW's marketing objectives are global, to ensure that customers have an appreciating value for their car. This is why AMW says it will not release more than 100 J2X MkIIs per year, irrespective of demand.
