Olivier Bonnet and Trent Hindman took a win each in the double header of the Formula 1600 series held during the weekend of the Canadian Grand Prix.

Olivier Bonnet captured victory in the first race, but he had to fight hard against Nathan Blok, Didier Schraenen and Xavier Coupal to cross the line in first place.

The four drivers put on a terrific show. The racing was hard but fair. The only controversial move happened late in the race when Coupal gave Schraenen a slight push.

Bonnet crossed the line in first place ahead of Blok and veteran Schraenen.

The second race of the meeting was held Sunday morning on a wet track. Bonnet jumped into the lead and started to extend his lead when the Safety Car came into action.

At the restart, Bonnet again extended his lead but he spun when entering the last chicane, allowing his pursuers to catch him up.

A few laps later, Trent Hindman powered in front of him and sailed away. Then, Nathan Blok found the opening and also moved ahead of Bonnet.

At the finish, the running order was Hindman, Blok and Bonnet.
