Frenchman Francois Migault, a former Formula 1 driver and a regular competitor at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, sadly died this past weekend at the age of 67.
Migault was born December 4, 1944 in Le Mans.
He started his career by winning the Volant Shell in 1968 and raced Formula 3 for Tecno. He contested 13 Grands Prix for Lola, Williams, Connew, Hill and BRM.
His best finish was a 14th place at the French Grand Prix in 1974. He then turned to sports car racing.
He claimed third place at Le Mans with Jean-Pierre Jabouille in a Matra in 1974. In 1976, he finished second at Le mans with Jean-Louis Lafosse in a Mirage. And in 1981, he took third place again, driving a Rondeau with Gordon Spice. He made a final appearance in 2002, driving a Dome.
