On Saturday, May 16th, the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro revealed itself to the world, promising higher levels of performance, technology, and refinement in an effort to maintain its leadership in the sports car segment.
Only two parts carry over from the fifth-generation Camaro to the new Gen Six: the rear bowtie emblem and the SS badge. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro’s leaner, stiffer platform and slightly smaller dimensions are accentuated by a muscular, sculpted exterior with LED headlights. The body is available in 10 different colours, while the interior offers five.
Under the hood, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro comes with a choice of three engines:
- New 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder rated at 275 hp (standard in LT trim);
- 3.6L V6 rated at 335 hp (available in LT trim);
- 6.2L V8 (LT1) rated at 455 hp (standard in SS trim).
All three can be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed Hydra-Matic 8L90 automatic transmission.
