The much anticipated though yet unconfirmed Lamborghini Urus ultra-high luxury SUV may be built outside of Italy due to limited production capacity at the Sant’Agata plant, president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Australia's CarAdvice.

Rumour has it that Slovakia could become home to the Urus since that's where the next-generation Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7 (all vehicles sold by Volkswagen AG) will be assembled.

Originally introduced in concept form at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, the Lamborghini Urus still hasn't received the green light, but when it does, global Lamborghini sales are expect to double. Winkelmann cautioned that it will require a “a huge investment,” however.
