Die-hard BMW aficionados revere the M3 GTS, a motorsport-oriented version of the legendary performance car aimed at the likes of Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Having grabbed three units from a limited production run of 150, tuning specialist G-POWER managed to push the envelope even further.
They reinforced the 4.4L V8's engine block and fitted ASA superchargers to boost output from 450 to 635 horsepower while delivering 464 lb-ft of torque. This allowed their M3 GTS to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and 0 to 200 km/h in 4.2 and 11.9 seconds, respectively, before reaching a top speed of 323 km/h.
With the extra mid-range torque, 100-200 km/h accelerations are completed 2.2 seconds faster than with the regular model. Impressive!
Further modifications to the standard suspension and wheels of the BMW M3 GTS did not prove necessary, as they ''already guarantee perfect balance and race-ready handling. It was only the shortage of power that was preventing faster lap times'', the company claims.
