As promised, Genesis unveiled the New York Concept yesterday at the 2016 New York Auto Show, hinting at the brand’s future design direction with its expressive and refined “Athletic Elegance” language.

To some extent, the recently launched Genesis G90 is another example of that.

Back to the New York Concept, which uses a 2.0L GDI engine rated at 242 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The overall shape of the car is characterized by a long hood and expansive dash-to-axle ratio, while the prominent, upright grille is visually supported by sleek, horizontal headlamps. The rear is distinguished by a low and sleek deck, further enhanced by strongly tapered body flanks and slim, elongated taillamps.

Inside, technology is everywhere starting with a 21” floating, curved 4K LG screen that incorporates driver instruments and multimedia functions. Don’t miss the rich leather seating, open steering wheel design, logical and spacious centre console, and 3D gesture-control sensor.
