Maserati will be presenting the GranCabrio Sport to the world for the very first time at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. With it, the Italian automaker is promising better driving dynamics, greater power, and a more sensible and efficient engine compared to the GranCabrio.
It’s motivated by a 4.7-litre V8 pumping out 450 hp and 376 ft-lb of torque, coupled with a six-speed autobox borrowed from the Quattroporte Sport GT S. This duo ensures smoother shifting en route to top speeds of 285 km/h.
Maserati says the powertrain was put through a friction reduction program increasing responsiveness and reducing fuel consumption by 6%. A recalibrated suspension and improved brakes are also on board.
The GranCabrio Sport will be available this summer.
