Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr (Nissan GT-R) secured drivers championship victory by finishing second in qualifying race in San Luis, Argentina.

Krumm and Luhr set the pole position, but their Nissan GT-R was overtaken by the Corvette Z06 of rookie drivers Yelmer Buurman and Francesco Pastorelli at the start. The Corvette stayed in front until the checkered flag, which meant Buurman and Pastorelli took victory in their first ever GT1 race. It was also Corvette's first win of the season.

The podium was completed by the Lamborghini Murcielago driven by Dominik Schwager and Nicky Pastorelli. Darren Turner and Stefan Mucke were forced to withdraw from this final event of the season, after their Aston Martin DB9 suffered heavy damages after a big crash in practice.
