Michelin
Undeniably, French brand Michelin has an excellent reputation. Its flagship product, the recently launched Defender 2, is an excellent choice, no matter what type of car or SUV you drive.
At the same time, Michelin has just launched a new tire. The X Tour A/S 2 is slightly less expensive, but nearly as effective as the Defender. This tire may appeal to average drivers who don't need extreme performance capabilities.
If you need sportier tires, one of the Pilot line of tires could be right for your needs.
If your budget is a little tighter, Michelin offers a slightly more aggressive but very sport-specific tire line under the BFGoodrich brand. However, this brand is mostly reserved for pickup trucks and SUVs (which will be discussed tomorrow in the next section of our guide). Otherwise, check out Uniroyal, another Michelin-owned brand that offers excellent tires but at a lower price.
