Nokian benefits from a well-deserved sterling reputation for winter car tires, but the Finnish manufacturer Nokian offers equally effective tires for more-rugged light-duty trucks. For SUVs, crossovers and vans that share tire sizes with cars, see the first part of our guide on car tires.
However, for large vans, there is the Hakkapeliitta 3 line of tires that are studdable (for private vehicles). These have already stood out in several comparative tests that proved them to be superior to all the competition. This is a high-end product that comes at a price. But it is very effective.
Nokian also has, in its lineage, an all-season tire that’s winter-approved, the Rotiiva AT Plus available in several sizes for light trucks (or even SUVs of multiple sizes) that could satisfy those motorists who don’t not travel much in extreme conditions and what a set of tires that can stay on the vehicle 12 months a year.
