British automaker Aston Martin might just have stepped into the ring of roadster perfection, with the new V8 Vantage Roadster going on display at
the Los Angeles International Auto Show later this month.
It features modern and traditional design cues, top-level craftsmanship and elegant, purposeful lines. The ultra premium combination of technology and luxury has made the Vantage famous, and this time, it's taking off its top.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, says "The Vantage Roadster adds to the unbeatable thrill of open air motoring and by combining engineering excellence, technological innovation and physical perfection, will ensure every journey is one to remember."
Assembled at Aston Martin's global headquarters in Gaydon, the V8 Vantage Roadster joins the current lineup which includes the DB9, Vantage Coupe
and flagship Vanquish S.
The Vantage's V8 engine is hand built at a high-tech facility in Germany, and is available mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a Sportshift Automated Manual transmission which puts lightning quick gearchanges at the drivers fingertips via steering wheel mounted shift paddles.
Deliveries of the V8 Vantage Roadster are expected to start in the second quarter of 2007, with pricing details announced closer to launch.
