What’s that? A bicycle rack mounted inside the car? It’s just the latest innovation from Honda to hit the market.
First seen on the Civic Tourer Active Life concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show, the special rack will be available with the production model that goes on sale in Europe. It’s priced at £285 for one bicycle with the extension for a second bike costing an additional £150.
The bike’s rear wheel rests on the back of the folded-down rear seat, while tall uprights at each edge of the rail have a slot to secure the front wheel hub. A fixing belt secures the bicycle frame using the existing cargo bay lashing rings.
I’m sure many riders in North America will want a cool and practical accessory like this one, too.
