The world's first ''zero-cost'' hybrid?
Last January, AFS Trinity Power Corporation launched what some have called "the car of the future". The XH-150 Extreme Hybrid SUV is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that combines an internal combustion engine with an electric motor (total output: 370 horsepower). The latter generates 200 horsepower alone, propelling the XH-150 for up to 40 miles in electric mode and allowing it to reach speeds of up to 87 mph without burning a single drop of gasoline. In full hybrid mode, accelerations from 0 to 60 mph are achieved in 6.9 seconds.
