Hyundai Canada has announced a new aesthetic option for its largest flagship SUVs. The Night Package adds a blacked-out design treatment to the 2027 Hyundai Palisade and the all-electric 2027 Hyundai Ioniq 9.
The automaker says the Night Package targets buyers looking for a stealthier, more commanding presence on Canadian roads, but without sacrificing the comfort and technological capabilities expected from Hyundai’s top-tier models.
Night Package on the 2027 Palisade
Taking as its basis the range-topping Ultimate Calligraphy trim, the 2027 Palisade Night Package replaces traditional brightwork with a number of darkened elements. Available with Abyss Black, Creamy White or Ecotronic Grey exterior paint, the package equips the three-row family SUV with exclusive 21-inch black alloy wheels, black roof rails a darkened chrome grille and blacked-out Hyundai emblems.
Inside, the cabin is fitted with premium black Nappa leather seating surfaces, black steering wheel and unique dark interior trim.
Under the hood, Canadian buyers opting for the Ultimate Calligraphy grade with Night Package option get the same choice of either the conventional 3.5L V6 engine producing 287 hp or the upgraded hybrid powertrain. The hybrid variant boosts total output to 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque while improving fuel economy from 11.9L/100 km to 8.1L/100 km.
Night Package on the all-electric Ioniq 9
Hyundai’s largest all-electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, gets equal treatment to its gas-fed kin. Offered exclusively on the top-spec Ultimate Calligraphy AWD+ trim, the Ioniq 9 Night Package is paired solely with an Abyss Black exterior finish.
The exterior ensemble features 21-inch black-finish alloy wheels, blacked-out badging, black window mouldings, black door handles and dark chrome accents, among them a black chrome front skid plate and rear garnish.
The interior receives matching black seating, black aluminium trim and a black steering wheel.
Mechanically, the Ioniq 9 Night Package retains the setup of the Ultimate Calligraphy AWD+ trim. Powered by a twin-motor setup delivering 422 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, the vehicle uses Hyundai’s advanced 800-volt architecture and a 110.3-kWh battery pack capable of ultra-fast charging and an estimated driving range of 500 km.
2027 Hyundai Palisade & Ioniq 9 Night Package - Canadian availability
Both the 2027 Palisade and Ioniq 9 models equipped with the Night Package will be manufactured in South Korea for the Canadian market. Because production remains in Korea rather than the U.S., these models avoid potential 25-percent Canadian counter-tariffs on U.S.-built imports.
Dealership arrivals across Canada are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026. Hyundai Canada says to expect detailed pricing and packaging specifications for both models closer to their official market launch.
