What makes matters worse is this trend probably won't get better. In fact, due to the federal government's decision to oppose the position of our largest trading partner and ratify Canadian alliance with the Kyoto Accord, which in turn demands a 25% improvement in fuel economy by 2010, certain larger models will have to go.
What to do? Contact your MP and complain about laws enacted that aren't thoroughly thought through? Write your favorite car brand a heated letter and then enclose a deposit check for the exiled car in question? Move to the States? Your guess is as good as mine, but all said car storage might be a worthwhile U.S. border town business opportunity to look into as Canadian car enthusiasts opt to buy and insure their favorite models south of the line.
