Mazda gives away 1,000,000th vehicle sold in Canada
Mazda Canada sold their 1,000,000th vehicle in Canada on Monday, September 30, 2002. This evening, Daniel Limoges of Montreal East, the purchaser of a Mazda's one millionth car sold in Canada, was astounded to learn that he was getting his money back and receiving his new Mazda free of charge. "It is a great pleasure to give back to our customers in such a big way," Luciano Esposto, General Manager, Repentigny Mazda. "Mazdas are extremely popular in Quebec so it seems appropriate that we'd sell the millionth car here." The dealership, just outside of Montreal, threw a surprise party to appropriately commemorate this landmark.
