Panther Racing along with IZOD IndyCar Series rookie JR Hildebrand and Newman Haas Racing’s James Hinchcliffe were on hand at the Sebring International Raceway to complete although rain hampered each team program.

JR Hildebrand was only able to complete a total of 75 laps on Sebring’s 1.65-mile course in the No. 4 National Guard car but will utilize its test mileage lost due to the track conditions during another test session scheduled in February.

This was Hildebrand’s first test as a member of Panther Racing but the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights champion made his IndyCar Series debut with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing last season making two starts as a substitute for injured Mike Conway.

Panther will test again next month at Firebird International Raceway prior to the IZOD IndyCar Series upcoming open test at Barber Motorsports Park.

Meanwhile, Newman Haas Racing completed a two-day test at the 1.65-mile Sebring International Raceway road course with another rookie Canadian James Hinchcliffe.

Despite the rain, the team was able to complete the remaining number of miles they allocated for the test once the track dried having run the day before.
