Juho Hanninen (Skoda Fabia) leads Rally Scotland after day 1.

Juho Hanninen was already crowned even before the race, as his team mate and main rival for the title Jan Kopecky announced he would not race Rally Scotland.

The Finn inherited first position in Scotland when Skoda UK driver Guy Wilks, who was leading, was forced to retire in the afternoon after a differential problem. In the morning, Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207) lost about one minute after a puncture.

Andreas Mikkelsen (Ford Fiesta) moved up to second at the end of second day, and was 11 seconds behind Hanninen after he won last stage of the day. Thierry Neuville (Peugeot 207) was third before the second and last day.
