In what would be the first ever switch from NASCAR to the IndyCar series, veteran Sprint Cup and Nationwide driver Stanton Barrett is on the verge of announcing that he will join a newly form team for the 2009 IndyCar season, 3G Racing.
3G Racing that stands for 3 Guys Racing, will be formed by Barrett himself along with Greg Beck and Steve Sudler. They plan on running a complete schedule with one car driven by Barrett who will still compete in selected NASCAR races.
Greg Beck was a former IndyCar team owner in the late 90's while Steve Sudler is well known in the IRL and NASCAR circle as a marketing and sponsorship specialist.
