Canadian driver Alex Tagliani will be amongst the drivers taking part in the annual Indy Racing League Season Preview meeting next Tuesday, January 13 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A culmination of drivers, chief mechanics, team managers, team owners and PR staff, will all meet for the first time this year to review matters of competition and commercial aspects for 2009.
Alex has been invited by Conquest Racing to attend as the driver representative for the team.
"It is always a long winter away from racing, so I am very excited to get back into race mode and get started on the preparations for this season. I am looking forward to the possible opportunity to race with Conquest Racing during 2009 as I really enjoyed working with Eric Bachelart and the engineering staff during the last three races of 2008.
"Over the past months, I have been working hard on various projects and if all works to plan, the result will be great personally and for the sport of racing in general and especially in Canada. With test schedules soon approaching, I am already well into physical condition training for the upcoming racing season," said Tagliani.
The season is set to open with the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on April 5th, 2009.
