Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport, the site of the former Cleveland Grand Prix, was one of the most spectacular stop on the former Champ Car schedule. The Cleveland organizers are hoping that they can get their way and be part of the 2009 IndyCar series calendar.

That's why Cleveland's political and civic leaders met with Indy Racing League officials on Wednesday to make their case and join Toronto and other venues that will be back in the next season.

The 2009 IndyCar schedule is expected to be announced early next month.
