2003 Champ Car champion Paul Tracy filed suit against Gerald Forsythe and Forsythe Racing in a U.S. District Court in Chicago, claiming his former employer owed him more than $2,312,500, under the terms of his contract and the personal guaranty made by Forsythe.
In the suit filed in Court, it's documented that Tracy's contract called for a termination fee of $1 million if Champ Car ever ceased operation and the complaint alleges he's also owed $1.3 million for 2008.
The contract, originally signed with Forsythe in 2002, calls for Forsythe to pay Tracy $2,250,000 annually and he received payments for January, February, March and April but contends he's not been paid since.
