It happened on November 19th: Toyota Cavalier hits Japanese market

By ,

No, it's not a joke: Under an agreement with General Motors, Toyota launched a re-badged Chevrolet Cavalier in Japan on November 19th, 1993. It was sold across Asia until 2000.

The Toyota Cavalier stood out from its American twin with wider front fenders, power folding mirrors, unique taillights, leather trim on the steering wheel and shift knob, and of course right-hand drive.
