Next week’s 2016 New York Auto Show will feature the North American premiere of Jaguar’s new and super-powerful F-Type SVR. The car made its global debut earlier this month in Geneva and will go on sale this summer at a price that has yet to be announced.
As the first series production Jaguar vehicle to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and wear the SVR badge, the F-Type SVR can accelerate from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 200 mph (320 km/h). Credit goes to a supercharged 5.0L V8 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Output is rated at 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
Also on display in New York will be the new 2017 Jaguar XE compact sedan and the first-ever Jaguar SUV, called F-PACE. Meanwhile, Land Rover will present the Range Rover Evoque SVAutobiography and the Range Rover Evoque Convertible that debuted last fall.
