Perhaps the most sentimental inclusion this year is the Jeep Cherokee XJ Pioneer. Based on a 1984 model, this restomod is lightly modified to retain its classic silhouette while improving its trail manners. It features a two-inch lift with a quick-disconnecting sway bar for better articulation and custom carbon-fibre fender flares.

While the interior stays true to the 1984 original, Jeep designers couldn't resist adding a custom cooler—the perfect accessory for a slow trek through the Utah heat.

The final word
As the 60th Easter Jeep Safari gets ready to kick off, these six vehicles remind the Jeep faithful that the brand’s identity is still rooted in the ability to build, break and modify.
