Kia has announced a multi-year extension of its ongoing partnership with the LPGA, the professional women’s golf circuit, and will remain the official automotive sponsor of the tour. The Korean automaker will be present at seven tournaments, including two majors, as well as hosting the annual Kia Classic, the eighth edition of which is taking place this week at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Closer to home, Kia Canada is increasing its presence in the world of Canadian golf with two initiatives in junior golf, beginning in 2017, as well as extending its association with David Hearn, Canadian star of the PGA men’s tour.
Kia Canada and David Hearn will be collaborating on the Junior tour with the goal of developing golf among youths across Canada, in addition to increasing awareness and financing for the Alzheimer Society of Canada, in conjunction with the David Hearn Foundation.
