Barely a day after celebrating their 60th anniversary of building luxury SUV's, Land Rover has announced changes to their pricing strategy on all 2008 models sold in Canada. Reflecting the strong Canadian dollar, the automaker has reduced prices across its model lineup to help convince Canadian Land Rover shoppers to look for their next vehicle on this side of the border.

Pricing for the Land Rover range in Canada starts at $44,900 for the LR2 HSE, which boasts efficient on and off-road performance and a selection of leading high-tech features.

The LR3 starts at $53,900 with V6 power, and tops out as the LR3 V8 HSE for $64,200. LR3 is an international award-winner, and boasts seating for up to 7 passengers.

The Range Rover Sport opens the bidding at $71,600, with a supercharged model starting at $85,500. This SUV excels at long-distance, high-speed travel on any road.

Finally, the flagship Range Rover HSE starts at $92,900, with the Range Rover Supercharged topping the brands offerings at $110,800. Range Rover boasts industry-leading interior quality and comfort.

Gary Moyer, President of Land Rover Canada, comments on the price changes. "We have been monitoring the market carefully and we believe the timing is right to take this step. This action is the right thing to do for the customer given the direction the current exchange rate fluctuation has taken."

The price changes are effective immediately.
