A non-profit organization, CVQ; Course Vintage Quebec has been created and is ready to welcome all drivers who have been waiting to join the first Vintage road racing club based in Quebec.
It will now be possible to race on a strictly limited budget. The new club will allow amateur drivers to compete on some of the most beautiful road circuits of North Eastern Canada and the U.S.
There are no trophies or prize money to be won in vintage racing – the main idea is to have fun out on the race track. For the reason, contacts between two cars are not allowed.
The cars need to be at least twenty years old and raced according to the SVRA rules (Sport Vintage Racing Association). Strict safety rules and technical inspections for all cars minimize the risks and maximize the fun.
To race in vintage racing, one must be member of an accredited road racing club such as the CVQ and have a valid racing license.
A first test day has been booked at Sanair on May 8.
The official web site is www.cvqvintage.ca.
