The No 31 Porsche RS Spyder dominated the LMP2 category more than ten seconds in front of the QSM Portuguese Ginetta Zytek. Antonio Garcia lost control of one of the works Corvettes but the job was done for the yellow and the black cars. The Corvettes led the GT1 category, dominating the No 66 Jet Alliance Aston DBR9.

The fastest car in GT2 was the No 77 Porsche Felbermayer-Proton ahead of the 2008 category winner, the No 82 Risi Competizione Ferrari F430 and the astonishing Dutch No 85 Snoras Spyker C8 Laviolette, this last car being surprisingly fast during the free practice session.
